Diaries consist of 5 volumes detailing the activities of the Senate and House of Representatives from 22 Dec. 1825 through 16 May 1830, during the John Quincy Adams and Jackson administrations. Two scrapbooks, 1824-1829, contain newspaper clippings on the political issues of the day. Clippings in one of the scrapbooks have been pasted over various U.S. Treasury statements, although there are many statements in the front of the volume that have not been pasted over.
